Holistic Stress Management Instructor Training Workshop

​This workshop is designed to train all allied health professionals to teach, direct or facilitate quality stress management presentations/workshops at their worksite. The focus of this intensive workshop is holistic—honoring the integration, balance and harmony of mind, body, spirit and emotions for optimal well-being. The purpose of the workshop is twofold: (1) to gain a sound background in the holistic approach to stress management (addressing not only the causes of stress through effective coping skills but also the symptoms of stress with effective relaxation techniques) and (2) to learn, refine and practice excellent teaching skills with which to share this knowledge most effectively, whether it is through a one-hour presentation or a 16-week college credit course. ​

The ART of Resiliency: Daily Strategies to Thrive in a Demanding World

Employees within organizations are facing unprecedented demands, pressure and uncertainty. The only constant is constant change. Most people describe the sensation of being in these situations as feeling stressed. Perceived stress can have a negative impact on health, relationships and work performance. NIOSH WellBQ—An Innovative New Tool to Measure Worker Well-Being

Learn about a a soon-to-be-released groundbreaking instrument to assess worker well-being: the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Worker Well-Being Questionnaire (WellBQ). Developed over the past few years by researchers at NIOSH (a part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)) and RAND, this free tool asks workers about work-related policies and culture, health and quality of life. Organizations can use the questionnaire to understand the well-being of a workforce as well as identify strengths and opportunities in workplace programs and practices. Mental Health Benefits—Parity Compliance Considerations and Federal Enforcement of MHPAEA
