Holistic Stress Management Instructor Training Workshop

​This workshop is designed to train all allied health professionals to teach, direct or facilitate quality stress management presentations/workshops at their worksite. The focus of this intensive workshop is holistic—honoring the integration, balance and harmony of mind, body, spirit and emotions for optimal well-being. The purpose of the workshop is twofold: (1) to gain a sound background in the holistic approach to stress management (addressing not only the causes of stress through effective coping skills but also the symptoms of stress with effective relaxation techniques) and (2) to learn, refine and practice excellent teaching skills with which to share this knowledge most effectively, whether it is through a one-hour presentation or a 16-week college credit course. ​

The ART of Resiliency: Daily Strategies to Thrive in a Demanding World

Employees within organizations are facing unprecedented demands, pressure and uncertainty. The only constant is constant change. Most people describe the sensation of being in these situations as feeling stressed. Perceived stress can have a negative impact on health, relationships and work performance. Many programs focus on stress reduction and relaxation; however, this is probably not sufficient considering the world of high demand and constant pressure we are facing. Well-Being Culture Coach Training and Certification

Cultures and subcultures are complex webs of social influences on attitudes and behavior. This training teaches core strategies for creating cultural environments that support physical, social and psychological well-being.

NIOSH WellBQ—An Innovative New Tool to Measure Worker Well-Being

Learn about a a soon-to-be-released groundbreaking instrument to assess worker well-being: the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Worker Well-Being Questionnaire (WellBQ). Developed over the past few years by researchers at NIOSH (a part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)) and RAND, this free tool asks workers about work-related policies and culture, health and quality of life. Organizations can use the questionnaire to understand the well-being of a workforce as well as identify strengths and opportunities in workplace programs and practices. Hear from NIOSH and learn how the NIOSH WellBQ may help you advance worker well-being in your population.

Mental Health Benefits—Parity Compliance Considerations and Federal Enforcement of MHPAEA

Mental health and substance use disorders among the workforce take a large toll on employees and employers. To address this, many plans offer mental health and substance use disorder benefits along with their traditional medical and surgical benefits. Plan sponsors need to make sure these benefits comply with federal parity rules. This session focuses on complying with federal mental health parity rules such as the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA).
